Latest Update on Punjab School Holidays for Election 2024

31st Jan 2024: Punjab School Holidays for General Elections Announced: In light of the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8th, the Chief Minister of Punjab, in a tweet on January 31st, declared a brief holiday for all public and private sector schools, colleges, and universities in the region. The break will extend from February 6th to February 9th, 2024.

Using social media platform “X” former twitter CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi announced that “all public and private sector schools, colleges, and universities in Punjab will be closed from Feb 6th to Feb 9th.” He further wrote that ” 9:30 am timing for schools will only be observed till 3rd February. Regular school timings will be observed later on.”

The decision aims to ensure the safety and convenience of students, faculty, and staff during the electoral process. As February 4th is a Sunday, and February 5th is already designated as a Kashmir holiday, the extended break will allow for an uninterrupted period of relaxation and engagement with the democratic process. Regular School will resume on 10th Feb 2024.
