The Punjab Government has instituted a revised polichy, extending financial assistance to the families of deceased government employees. This empathetic approach aims to support the grieving families during their diffult times.

Enhanced Financial Support

For Sacle 1-4 Employees’ Families: An allocation of 50 lakhs has been designated to provide necessary financial assistance.

For Scale 5-10 Empoyees’ Families:. Families of employees falling within scale 5-10 will receive a substantial aid of 75 lakhs to help them cope with the loss.

Scale 11-15 Employees:. A financial support of 100 lakhs (1 Crore) has been allocated to alleviate the financial burden faced by families of employees from scal 11 to 15.

For Scale 18-22 Employees Families:. Recognizing the higher positions held, families of these employees will receive 200 lakhs (2 Crore) to provide comprehensive support during their grieving period.

Job Policy for Deceased Employees’ Families

While the government has increased financial assistance significantly. It has also decided not to provie employment opportunities to the deceased employee’s family members, as was previously the case.

This revised policy emphasizes extending substantial financial aid to the deceased employees’ families without th provision of job opportunities for their kin, marking a departure from prior practices.

Punjab government’s decision underscores its commitment to supporting the families of deceased employees in their time of need, aiming to ease their financial burden and provide necessary assistance without job placements for the family members left behind.
