Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Mohsin Naqvi has announced the winter vacation schedule for Punjab schools for the year 2023! Morever, there’s an update on the Air Quality Index in provice that brings some positive changes.
In a recent address, Cm Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the ongoing efforts to tackle the SMOG challenge in Punjab. After an extensive meeting with experts and government officials, considering the improved Air Quality Index (AQI) in the region, the government has decided to lift the restrictions for the upcoming week.
Using social media platform “X” he stated, “We held meeting with experts and govt officials today addressing the SMOG challenge in Punjab. With and improved Air Quality Index, no restrictions are planned for the upcoming weekend.”
As a response to the evolving situation, the Punjab governement has adjusted its measures accordingly. last week, as a precautionary measure, school and markets were closed for three days (Firday, Saturday and Sunday). However, owing to the improved Air Quality Inddex (AQI) conditions, the government has decided to lift these restrictions for the current week.
Winter Holidays Announcement
Additionally, CM Mohsin Naqvi shared the exciting news about the winter vactions for school childred. The winter holidays are set to commence from December 18th, 2023, and will continue until Jaunary 1st, 2024, allowing students to enjoy a much-deserved break.
This decision aligns the government’s commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of the citizens, expecially the younger generation, while also addressing environmental concerns.
