FOG

In view of the increasing fog, the Punjab government has announced to issue a notification that schools will remain closed for 3 days in a week. Markets and offices also to be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi while holding a press conference said that this difficult decision had to be taken in view of increasing pollution and fog. He said that restaurants, cinemas and markets will remain closed for three days. He added that the holidays will be held only in Lahore Division, Gujranwala city, Wazirabad and Nankana Sahib because the fog situation is most dangerous in these cities, and diseases are spreading among people.

Hospitals are getting overcrowded, our purpose of giving holidays is to bring down this fog, it is impossible to eliminate it.

The Chief Minister of Punjab said that India has taken similar decision in Delhi as well by which the weather has improved somewhat. He said that bakeries, pharmacies will remain open, this decision is only temporary and it is not permanent. To control the weather situation CM Punjab announced to implement Section 144 in these cities.
