With the eagerly awaited polling day for Election 2024, stated for 8th February. The Election Commission of Pakistan has rolled out imperative directives to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.

The ECP underscores that the election campaign has officially ceased on 6th February thereby prohibiting any further promotional activities or rallies aimed at soliciting votes.

The ECP insturcted in their press release that within 400 meter raduis of polling stations all forms of electioneering are strictly prohibited. This includes any attempt to coerce individuals into voting for a particular candidates, as well as any endeavors to hinder voters from exercising their right to choose freely.

Moreover, the ECP mandates that within a 100-meter parameter of polling stations, the display of banners and flags is prohibited, ensuring an environment conducive to impartial decision-making.

In a bid to accommodate political parties, candidates and their respective agents, the ECP has delineated specific zones. In rural settings, camps may be established at a distance of 400 meters from polling stations, while in urban areas, this distance is reduced to 100 meters.
