Januray 22, 2024: Punjab School Timings: In response to the prevailing cold weather conditions in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and other districts of Punjab, the Punjab government has decided to maintain the current flexible school timings until January 31, 2024.
Initially, the government had altered the school timings, setting the opening time at 9:30 am until January 21. However, considering the colder weather affecting the region, authorities have extended the flexible timings to ensure the well-being of school children.
Reports indicate a rise in illnesses among students due to the chilly weather, prompting the government to prioritize the health and safety of the young learners. As a precautionary measure, students are now permitted to wear sweaters, jerseys, and shoes of any color to stay warm during their commute and school hours.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure that their children are appropriately dressed for the colder weather. The decision to extend the flexible school timings aims to minimize the impact of the chilly conditions on the students and promote a healthier learning environment.
